China is an important production base for the global PCB industry

At present, China has become an important production base for the global PCB industry. PCB (printed circuit board) is an important carrier of integrated circuits and is known as the mother of electronic components (the English name of the motherboard is probably derived from this). All electronic components need to be carried on the PCB board to complete interaction and connection between each other.

At present, most of the world's major PCB industry production bases are divided into China, Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe and the United States, among which my country's PCB industry occupies an important position. However, the PCB market has always faced the problem of being numerous but not being precise. Many key materials, production equipment, engineering software, etc. still need to rely on imports, and it is difficult to form strong competitiveness in the high-end market, especially packaging substrates, high-end HDI boards, multi-layer boards and other PCB products with complex processes and high requirements.

Although it is not as severely choked like the chip industry, behind the current prosperity, we also need to prepare for the hidden dangers behind it. We should take our own path in terms of technological innovation. If we have been obsessed with cost competition in the mid- and low-end markets, we will inevitably be restrained in subsequent development and competition.
